Mission Statement:


Lindsay Roden of Lindsay Roden Dance Academy wants her studio to be a positive environment for children of all ages to learn the art of dance! I want each student to have the best possible dance experience that will allow them to grow and reach their greatest potential. Lindsay thrives herself on her energetic approach in teaching children. She wants her studio to be an encouraging, inviting and nurturing environment for her students as well as parents.

 

Attendance:

It is important that dancers attend all scheduled classes. Regular attendance allows for consistent progress.
Missed Classes/Makeup:
1. If your child is going to be away, please call 647-293-0364 or email lrdanceacademy@gmail.com to notify us of your child’s absence.

2. A makeup class is permitted if there is a class of the same age and level. A parent must notify the studio of this make up.

3. If for any reason your child needs to leave class early, arrangements must be made for a parent to pick them up at the dance studio door. This is a matter of safety.

4. During class if a child complains of being ill, or sustains an injury and can not participate, parents will be notified by the instructor.

Personal Belongings/Change room:
1.Please be sure to dress in the change room and leave belongings in the change room (including cell phones). Lindsay Roden Dance Academy is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please leave jewelry at home as it is not a part of the dress code. 2. Dance shoes and a water bottle are allowed in the studio
3. Outdoor shoes and boots are to be taken off before entering the studio.
4. Please arrive before the start time of the scheduled class to ensure enough time to dress for class and use the restroom etc.

Covid-19 Interruption:

In the event that the studio needs to be closed due to a second wave of COVID-19, LRDA classes will be taken online. We will make every effort to keep the schedule and the teacher the same.

For families who choose to continue training online, there will be one month of online classes, to see if classes may resume in the studio.

Families have the option to freeze their account until classes resume in-person if they do not wish to continue dancing online. After one month, if classes are still online, families have the option to officially withdraw and cancel any future payments, OR continue to freeze their account until classes resume in-person (NO PAYMENTS WILL BE PROCESSED DURING THE TIME YOU DECIDE TO FREEZE YOUR ACCOUNT).

If a parent wishes to withdraw their child from the studio fort the remainder of the term or year, LRDA must be notified five business days before the next payment/instalment is due and there is a $15.00 withdrawal charge.

Late Payment Policy:

Any fees submitted a week or more after the due dates will be subject to a 5% late fee. To avoid any additional charges, please provide LRDA with post-dated cheques. Payment due date reminders will be sent out, posted at the studio and online. NFS - will be subject to a $25.00 administration fee.

Withdrawal Policy:

It is understood that a student may be unable to participate in classes at Lindsay Roden Dance Academy for various reasons. There is a $25.00 withdrawal fee. After the first month, fees will be deducted accordingly to how many classes were attended from the start date. For a withdrawal after December 1 the costume fee included in the tuition fees will not be refunded. There will be no refund for a withdrawal after March 1st, 2023.

Younger Children:

Parents/caregivers please arrive a few minutes before class, make sure they use the restroom and are dressed and ready for class. As well parents/caregiver please arrive a few minutes before the end of the class to be there for pick up. *If you are running late, your child will remain in the class until collected.

Weather Permitting:

Weather conditions - (if severe weather conditions arise). Please call the studio (647-293-0364) to inquire as well the studio will always post a notice on the website; www.lindsayrodendanceacademy.com. We will make every effort to provide an alternate class if for some reason the class has to be canceled due to the weather conditions.

Behaviour:

Students must show respect for dance instructors, staff and students at all times. Bullying, vulgar language, and/or other disrespectful behaviours are not tolerated.
